About
Courtney was born in North Charleston, SC. She currently resides in North Carolina with her son, daughter and longtime partner. Being raised by a single mother of three on welfare, and then being a teen mom herself, she was determined to make a better way for her and her family.
She attended college at the age of 17, graduating with an Associate’s in Health Science a year and a half later. Although she has been in healthcare for the majority of her career, she’s always had a passion for writing and entrepreneurship. Becoming a published author and business owner has always been her dream.
Since she was a little girl, Courtney enjoyed reading and writing. With her devotion to writing, she wrote every chance she got, about any and everything. She also had a passion for storytelling. With the combination of the two, she started writing short stories. Due to life experiences, writing became more than a hobby for her; it became therapeutic, and that’s when Author Courtney Simone was discovered.
In the 4th grade, she sold candy at school and that was her first hustle, but at the age of 20 she became an official self-taught entrepreneur selling women clothes and accessories. Since then her entrepreneurial journey has been an experience; from lessons, to loses, and success in between. Even though entrepreneurship isn’t easy, she loves everything about the process and watching how her businesses flourish year after year.
By 2019, Courtney Simone published her first novel, “Love, Lies ‘N Betrayal”, became the C.E.O of Dream Ink Publications, and part owner of Palmetto Prime Cleaning. Just a few years later, she had over five published books, started helping other entrepreneurs build successful businesses and became a content creator/YouTuber.
Although she has her hands full with being a mom, partner, Serial Entrepreneur, Published Author and YouTuber, she has no plans on stopping anytime soon. She still has plans to help the less fortunate, motivate and inspire young adults to follow their dreams no matter their circumstances, and help them understand the importance of making their dreams a reality, just as she did.
